Sophia Farmer creates fetish landscapes of myth, rooted in screen cultures and the nature-photography canon. Via photo, video and sculpture Phi assembles works which explore surveillance, the debris of paradise and the labor of fantasy maintenance. Through material opacity these objects consider ways of looking and reverting gaze. Phi works with materials like latex, sand, deflated pool toys, photo transfers and car vinyls.
